For the Coral Reef Senior High School project, executive oversight was provided for all phases of preconstruction and construction management through successful project closeout. Responsibilities included leadership and coordination of comprehensive preconstruction services to ensure alignment of design intent, scope development, budget parameters, and overall project execution strategy in accordance with Miami-Dade County Public Schools requirements and applicable building standards.
Detailed cost estimating services were developed and maintained throughout the preconstruction phase, including quantity takeoffs, trade-specific pricing analysis, and value engineering evaluations to establish accurate project budgets and support informed decision-making. Logistics planning was implemented to coordinate site access, construction sequencing, material staging, and trade coordination within an active educational campus environment, with a strong emphasis on safety, security, and minimal disruption to school operations.
Client contract negotiations were managed to define project scope, establish contractual terms, and ensure appropriate allocation of risk in compliance with public procurement guidelines. Subcontractor and vendor procurement activities included competitive bidding, scope evaluation, bid leveling, and execution of purchase agreements and subcontracts to ensure cost-effective and compliant project delivery.
Throughout construction, ongoing budget control and financial oversight were maintained, including cost tracking, forecasting, and implementation of corrective actions to ensure adherence to approved funding limits. The operations team was directed to ensure efficient field execution, schedule adherence, and resolution of coordination issues.
The project was successfully completed through structured preconstruction planning, disciplined procurement, and effective operational management, resulting in a fully delivered educational facility meeting all performance, quality, and contractual requirements.
